If you determine your project may meet our requirements, please submit a Letter of Inquiry per our website guidelines. Applicants will be notified via email within 15-30 days to submit a full Grant Application if the Hayden Foundation Grant Committee determines your inquiry should move to the next application stage.

Inquiries not deemed to be complimentary to our mission will not receive further communications.

Please follow the Proposal Guidelines on this website. If you have questions during the inquiry or application process, please contact us here.

Eligibility and Fit

The Hayden Foundation will not consider applications for:

  • Deficit budgets
  • Feasibility studies
  • Events or conferences
  • Books or periodicals
  • Professional development

Review the Hayden Foundation’s Interests & Priorities to determine your eligibility and fit.

After reviewing the Hayden Foundations Interests & Priorities and Frequently Asked Questions sections, organizations should submit a Letter of Inquiry through the application portal on this website.

Letters of Inquiries as well as Grant Applications through the website portal will be accepted on a rolling basis. There are no deadlines for submissions.

Approved Grants will be awarded in the calendar year to which they were submitted.

Although not guaranteed, the Hayden Foundation will make every attempt to award monies in a timeline that is most advantageous to the Grantee.

Each organization may submit only one Grant Application request per year for consideration.

Applicants will be invited via email to submit a full Grant Application if their Letter of Inquiry moves to the next stage.
